For the heart that refuses to forgive, intimacy with God and love for others are impossible.
You will forgive seventy-seven times seven ... Forgiving one another ... Offer also the other cheek ... Forgive as Christ has forgiven you.
These are familiar phrases of Scripture that haunt us and we often offer lightly as aspirins to others who were injured. But do we take very seriously the question of forgiveness for ourselves?
God takes very seriously - so that leaves us no choice in the matter.
When we forgive, we get freedom, spiritual power, healing our hurt feelings and the possibility of a sweet fellowship.
